Inside Out – Butlins

EGG SHAPED BOOTHS

Inside Out collaborated with client Mystery Design to create a unique new dining experience at the Butlins resort in Skegness, Lincolnshire. Butlins are family resorts so their restaurants need to have cross-generational appeal and the furniture has to work with regards to both form and function.

Egg booths

Inside Out’s Sales Manager, Justin Harrison, worked closely with our client to select products that would perform well in this high-traffic eatery: furniture that would maintain its looks after endless evenings playing host to boisterous toddlers and lively adults! However, we were also aware that Butlins was striking out in a bold new design direction with Firehouse and the furniture needed to be daring and different to match the brief.

The egg booths are the restaurant’s key design statement and Inside Out’s Design Team created these unique bespoke seating pods to work alongside the quirky concept of Fireside, while also standing out from their surroundings…and being the most sought-after seats in the venue. The banquettes are upholstered in vibrant Spectrum Fire Red, one of the feature colours in Fireside.

For the main dining area, we supplied versatile Lily Chairs and elegant Rio 3 Side Chairs. These were complemented by our classic Iconic Chairs, which were given a contemporary twist with lacquered orange, red and mint finishes, to tie in with the restaurant’s vibrant colour scheme. The Bold Cross Table Base was combined with an oak laminate top to create a set of hardwearing dining tables with a modern feel, and we supplied bespoke Oxford Trestle Tables to make full use of the expansive restaurant floor and to accommodate the larger parties that often frequent the restaurant.
