Situated seven miles north of Ipswich and around a 30-minute drive to the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, its 43 newly built and restored barns are made of eco-friendly materials and incorporate solar panels and air-heat exchange technology.
Working with the owners, Inside Out supplied a collection of bespoke armchairs and sofas all traditionally handmade in the UK with added button back detail and contrast piping. The Great Barn at Retreat East features the Gothenburg sofa and high wing back chairs, Ashington side chairs and Italian-made Belgrade chairs in a mix of luxury fabrics. Copper coloured table bases and solid wood table tops add to the Great Barn’s modern luxury, whilst traditional linen upholstery hones in on the country-chic aesthetic.

The Gothenburg collection is bedecked in grandeur credentials, boasting a high back and sumptuous upholstery available from a wide variety of colourful fabrics. The striking combination of button back detail, tapered legs and lowered armrests concur with temporary Scandinavian style, invoking an enduring design that will provide ease of sophistication and panache to any given space. Traditionally manufactured, the Gothenburg collection utilises a solid timber frame, deep foam cushioning and contemporary upholsteries that feature a back-zip detail.
Ashington is a classic design suited to a host of different locations. With a smooth rounded back and button detailing, the sophisticated style offers no compromise on comfort. The generous seat is available in a range of upholstery options, with a choice of coordinating or contrasting buttons to best suit your interior theme.
