Roca at London Design Festival
Landmark setting for Roca bathroom solutions during London Design Festival
The London Design Festival 2014 is set to be a memorable one for leading bathroom brand Roca. As well as welcoming visitors to the Roca London Gallery throughout the Festival, Roca products have also been chosen for inclusion in this year’s Landmark Project in Trafalgar Square.
In collaboration with Airbnb, the Landmark Project, ‘A Place Called Home’, brings together four highly acclaimed designers who have been invited to create their own interpretation of home. The four ‘homes’ appear to be similar in construction from the outside, but have their own identity, hinting at the unique, creative interiors within.
Raw Edges, one of the four designers, has selected Roca sanitaryware and brassware for inclusion in its design.
Roca’s Khroma over-counter basin, Element wall-hung WC and Loft Elite swivel spout basin mixer will all form a key part of the bathroom design within the Raw Edges home. Using a movable archive system as its inspiration, a versatile and surprising interior, which has the ability to transform different rooms within a home at different moments, is created.
According to Raw Edges “the design shows how, with limited space and an imaginative approach, it’s possible to make the most of even the smallest living area within a densely populated city”.
“The London Design Festival is always a busy time for Roca, but to have our products also chosen to appear within the Landmark Project, in the iconic setting of Trafalgar Square is very exciting,” comments Caroline Kilgour, Communications & Events Executive at Roca London Gallery. “We’re looking forward to seeing the products in situ as part of the Raw Edges design.”
The Landmark Project will be in Trafalgar Square for the duration of the London Design Festival, from 13-21 September.
