They will be showing some of the most innovative surfaces that the industry has to offer, with many of the exhibitors unveiling new surfaces designed specifically for the architectural, design and construction industries.Since 2005 Surface Design Show has been the destination for trade to find the newest innovations and trends in surface design all under one roof. Highlighted below are just a few of the new surfaces that will be introduced at Surface Design Show 2017.
Bay Gallery Home (stand 554) presents the world’s first Australian Aboriginal interiors collection, My Country. Its inaugural core ranges of wallpapers, ceramic wall tiles & rugs reference the Aboriginal philosophy and creative process, whereby all of creation is in relationship and at one with the land. The collection is inspired by mapping myths, rituals and sacred topography creating truly unique designs.
Spectral Lighting (stand LS360) will be showcasing IRIS L. Seemingly hanging in space Iris LED and IRIS L intrigues and fascinates with rings of shimmering light and creative use of colour. The striking design is made with dual sided LED boards, bringing the benefits of highly efficient LED lighting to a visually stunning aesthetic.
V4 Woodflooring (stand 200) returns to Surface Design Show with their new specification range, The Wild Wood. The Wild Wood brings together new bespoke collections sourced from specialist mills across Europe, alongside V4 Woodflooring’s high quality stocked wood flooring ranges. Wild Wood also introduces new products into V4’s already established Panneau range of decorative wooden wall panels. Panneau Craft which launches at Surface Design Show uses reclaimed boatwood that is re-imagined to deliver stunning decorative panels suitable for walls, ceilings or clad to any purpose built structure.
Rust on a Roll is introduced by Innerspace (stand 406). The industrial look is highly desirable but difficult to achieve, so rust on a roll provides an authentic alternative to rusted steel sheets. The look is achieved because real rust particles are used in the manufacture of the product. Every sheet of rust on a roll is individually hand finished meaning there are no repeats and both the appearance and feel is like that of a real rusted panel.
Evan James (stand 404) introduce Applicate 2.5, a new addition to the Applicate collection. Applicate is an interactive 3D wall covering demonstrating the natural luxurious beauty of Birch Ply. Based upon the concept of a peg board, laser cut ‘shapes’ can be moved and repositioned to slot into the specifically designed pre-cut holes, fostering limitless pattern and colour possibilities.
Surface Design Show 2017 takes place at the Business Design Centre, London from 7-9 February 2017.
