FURNOTEL KICKS OFF NEW YEAR WITH 175 BEDROOM CONTRACT FOR MK DONS FC

Furnotel has kicked off the New Year in style by securing a 175 Bedroom contract with MK Dons Football Club to design, produce and install bespoke case goods to their DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.

Four years on from Furnotel’s previous installation of 145 bedrooms to the South side of the stadium, the hotel has traded extremely well despite a challenging economy and therefore the decision was made by MK Dons to extend, adding new rooms to the North and East stands. Subsequently, throughout 2013 our design team worked very closely with the MK Dons Chairman and his senior management team refining designs to ensure a degree of consistency with the previous project whilst giving the new rooms a warmer contemporary aesthetic adhering as always to Hilton’s strict brand standards.

To achieve this a warm walnut veneer was proposed, accented with contemporary brushed silver metallic horizontal bands, which as a key feature to the first phase case goods, gave the required continuity to the design. The overall scheme incorporates a smart upholstered high headboard, granite topped mini bar unit, fitted wardrobes, desks and luxurious wall panelling.
