AREEN SECURES MAIDEN INTERIORS PROJECT IN CHINA

Largest luxury private villa in one of China’s most exclusive developments

London-based design practice Areen Hospitality is working on the interiors of a 3,000 sqm private villa, located at One Park Gubei, a massive project which will contain what is expected to become the most luxurious residential area in Shanghai.

Within this development, One Park Villa is the largest private home and is spread over five levels, including a basement which contains an underground swimming pool, cinema, gym and spa. The four levels above ground provide three self-contained apartments for the family alongside a tea room, art gallery, library and study. On the fourth floor are the private rooms of the owner containing two master bedrooms, bathrooms and wardrobes with a private lounge offering views over Hongqiao Golf Course.

Pablo Rossi RIBA, project team leader continues “On entering One Park Villa, the double height panels of timber, carrara marble and bronze mirror combine to create a dramatic yet welcoming ambience, enhanced by the bespoke light feature dramatically suspended in the middle of the space. From here, the eye is drawn to the stunning staircase, an iconic design of timber, glass and white marble merging concepts of transparency and sculpture. Bedrooms, bathrooms, study and lounges on the upper levels each offer extremely personalised interior spaces, yet still provide exclusive and timeless spaces for the family to enjoy. It is, quite simply, a once in a lifetime project.”

Construction of One Park Villa is well underway on site with completion expected in Q4 2016. The full project team comprises the following companies:
