Barcelona by Chad Lighting

As part of our focus on Barcelona this month we contacted BCFA member Chad Lighting to discuss their Barcelona light: a distinctive table light with arched shaping in a contrasting leather colour. The table light offers different leather combinations, however the style remains the same.

“Our creative team was inspired by Gaudi’s striking designs – you can see the conical theme and parabola reminiscent of the Sagrada Familia” – Simon Kirby, designer at Chad Lighting.

Inspiration behind the Barcelona table light was that of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia. The Sagrada Familia is an unfinished temple in Barcelona – to date, 70% of the Basilica is finished, with works currently focusing on the central six towers. The remaining symbolic elements on the upper portico of the Passion Façade are also currently being put in place. More information about this temple can be found here.DesignInsiderChadBarcelonaSagradaJust like the main entrance to Sagrada Familia, Chad Lighting’s Barcelona has two panels convening at the centre, with the second colour of your choice in the middle arriving at the same destination, please do comment below if you can see the similarities?DesignInsiderChadBarcelonaSagrada2Gaudi’s work can be enjoyed throughout the streets of Barcelona, such as in Guell Park.
