Camira’s 2017-2018 Trend Report is here!
Camira launches its second trend forecast, Evolution: Global Trend Directions 2017/18 with it fresh inspiration and imagination. Trends are constantly evolving and as time moves on, so do ideas, habits and tastes. The driving theme of this report is Evolution, a celebration of now and how we have developed to be such a unique and complex species. The report guides readers through each trend – Quest, Visionary, Habitat and Co-Create – each with a thoughtful colour palette of fabrics, colour combinations to create new moods and dynamic keywords to capture the sentiment of each trend.
As with the first edition, this new trend forecast has been developed and researched by Camira’s design team alongside trend consultant and writer, Sally Angharad. Trend photography and fabric palettes have been created by stylist and photographer, Rian Crabtree. The report profiles work from designers and artists used to represent each trend, not just the colour palette but also the overarching theme, allowing readers to travel through the pages and gather their own seeds of creativity along the journey.Catherine Counsell, Camira’s Design & Development Manager, commented:
“Our new trend report is about encouraging us to slow down and appreciate what is around us, make time for contemplation and feed our fascination with our surroundings.
There was such a positive response to the first report which captivated our customers. It aided work on mood boards, presentations and colour development, becoming a core asset to our offering. Our design team spend a huge amount of time researching trends and looking at the wider factors that influence design for commercial interiors. The trend report has provided an opportunity for Camira to share that insight, knowledge and expertise while providing a platform for readers to take an alternative look, explore their curiosity and have a resource to use when developing new projects.”
