Clerkenwell Design Week continues to grow in participants, visitors and weight as a leading UK design event. This year’s event included 160 showrooms and 600 events, achieving visitor numbers exceeding 37,725.

On the following pages we share our impression of the event, successful partnerships, interesting conversations, design trends and new product launches & previews.’

Across the two days our team enjoyed learning about the many new products which commercial suppliers chose to launch at this industry leading event. Within this Design Insider Trend Report we will share with you the new product launches, which will enable Commercial Interior Designers to answer their client’s briefs and create memory making experiences for their guests.

Now in its 20th year, the London Design Festival returned to its regular slot between 17th – 25th September with a series of live and in-person events across the city.

With an array of thought-provoking exhibitions, installations and talks, the festival is an opportunity for the international design community to discover the latest work from designers and brands from across London and the UK. 

We bring you the voices of the visitors and participants of Milan Design Week 2022!

We reached out to leading commercial interior designers and suppliers, as well as a selection of product designers in order to find out what they thought about Milan Design Week 2022 and to discover their event highlights.

On Thursday 9th and Friday 10th September 2021 Clerkenwell, London was flooded with life, with 60 brands across 45 showrooms participating in the Clerkenwell Open, an event organised by the BCFA in partnership with Women in Office Design (WOD).

It has been many months since we have been able come together with our friends and colleagues in the commercial interiors sector and the overriding feeling at this new event was one of community.

Every year I leave London Design Festival wishing that I had more time to experience the amazing design on show; it would be impossible to see even a fraction of the 500+ events taking place.

Within this report I hope that you enjoy a flavour of London Design Festival 2019 as well as an insight in to a selection of specific trends.  The Festival was a hugely enjoyable event, providing commercial and conceptual design as well as experiences and inspiration.

For the second year running the city of Berlin becomes a platform for innovative design as it plays host to Berlin Design Week. BNDNWK invites designers, cultural institutions, galleries and studios from around the globe, with a particular emphasis on those from Germany, to encourage dialogue between the worlds of design, research, education and industry with a view to tackling issues surrounding ecological and societal sustainability.

Now in it’s 21st year, Dutch Design Week returns to Eindhoven, the ‘city of light’ and home to the Philips headquarters.

The biggest design event in Northern Europe, the show celebrates design innovation and has a clear focus on experimentation whilst giving exceptional attention to the work of young talent.

For the last 10 years Clerkenwell Design Week has been an engaging, industry leading and joyful highlight of my design calendar.

Milan Design Week is the highlight of many designer’s calendar and this year I was lucky enough to visit.
