Column: Carolyn Mitchell – Revelling in Our Commercial Community

Monthly Column By

On the 31st of October, 560 members of our vibrant commercial interiors community will come together for the Commercial Interiors UK Annual Luncheon. Those who regularly attend know this is  no ordinary get together —it is an event that is unmatched anywhere else in our sector! For all of us , it’s the must-attend event of the year and the first to go into my diary. I’ve had the pleasure of attending this luncheon for over 30 years, and I have seen it grow into the most wonderful event, every year is exciting.

I always look forward to seeing long-term friends and colleagues reconnect, and have fun, and for new clients and industry leaders to witness the growth and dynamism of our sector, its an impressive occasion! There’s nothing quite like being spoiled by the generous hospitality at the Royal Lancaster London, surrounded by peers who are just as passionate about the industry as you are.

But beyond the exquisite food and delightful setting, the Luncheon is a celebration for the people who make our community what it is. In my experience, these moments of connection are vital. They give us a chance to invest in the relationships we’ve built, discuss the achievements of our colleagues, reflect on the challenges of the year, and share our vision for the future of industry sector. It’s these moments of celebration that truly drive our sector forward, allow us to see how far we have come and keep us all motivated and inspired.

If you’ve secured your tickets, I look forward to seeing you at what promises to be a wonderful day. If you’ve been invited as a guest, pop the date in your diary and make sure nothing can get in the way of you attending. And if, for some reason, you’re not able to join us this year, don’t worry—there are many other opportunities to connect with our community in the coming months. Be sure to take a look at our events calendar and make plans to join us!

Let’s continue to celebrate our community and the incredible work we do together. See you at the Luncheon!
