Creating an inspirational home from home

Creating a ‘home from home’ environment is a key consideration for anyone responsible for the design and decoration of environments such as care homes or hotels.  However, the rigorous performance standards required in these environments mean interior designers are often left wanting more when it comes to luxurious fabric and show-stopping design.Country_Living_Orchre_Cameo

That’s why iLiv Contract Fabrics is pushing the boundaries in design and materials, while still adhering to – and often exceeding – fire retardancy specifications and the additional practical features expected.

Its newest collection, Country Living, is already making waves thanks to its stunning florals, checks, leaves and plains, pulled together to create an exquisitely characteristic country cottage look.

Emily Arch, designer at iLiv Contract Fabrics, said: “Beautiful designs shouldn’t come at the cost of practicality. We’re creating the same stylish, luxurious looks people covet in their homes and bringing them to commercial environments.”

Part of the ‘family’ of design at SMD, iLiv Contract’s co-ordinated fabrics can be ‘mixed and matched’ across all 29 collections, for a truly unique look.

The latest technical properties combine flame retardant technology with crafted design and feel in voiles, woven plains, velvets and printed fabrics, creating a calming, sumptuous look and feel, meeting all relevant British Standards.

The Country Living Collection, which was launched in September this year is available in an eclectic mix of woven, dyed, printed and velvet fabrics and five colour stories of textured florals, stylish velvet leaves and small scale blooms.
