Lucky Cat Manchester, featuring ILIV fabrics
Set in the iconic Art Deco Grade II listed building designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and built in 1935; originally the Midland Bank, Lucky Cat the new Gordon Ramsay restaurant in Manchester is a fine example of how an expansive space can be renovated to deliver an opulent and intimate dining experience. ILIV were selected to create the iconic dining area using their sumptuous Hampton velvet in rich blackberry. The carefully curated interior details enhance the sensory experience; from the internal arches that echo the window and ceiling architecture, to the Art Deco-style lighting and the cosy banquette seating and beautifully designed bar, each and every space has been considered to create the perfect atmosphere.

Abi Tildsley, marketing manager at ILIV explains:
“Fabrics offer a great means to enrich spaces, reviving their history and character to infuse them with renewed vitality. The Lucky Cat Manchester project stands as a perfect example of this concept. Design agency Russell Sage Studio revitalised this Grade II listed building, using a selection of our sumptuous velvets and vibrant colours to enhance the overall ambience, bringing a luxurious yet atmospheric feel to the space.”

It’s not easy to create effortless design explains Rose Campbell, design and marketing at Newmor:
“Pattern doesn’t always have to be bold to make an impact. I spend much of my time developing intricate textures and nuanced colour palettes, as together they hold a silent power, creating an impactful sensory experience”.
