The significance of using antimicrobial fabric is the protection it offers against bacteria, fungi, viruses and other hazardous microbes. Microorganisms can live and grow in fabric and for that reason using antimicrobials are so effective as they prevent the growth and spread of microorganisms within the fabric.

As the world navigates its way through COVID-19, maintaining sanitary conditions in Care Homes and Health Care facilities requires a combination of strict protocols and the right equipment. Clothing, linens, furniture and lighting rely on antimicrobial fabric to promote clean and sanitary environments.

This popular and very customisable range comes with top and bottom diffusers to ensure an even distribution of light and are available in a wide variety of sizes, colours, suspension lengths, dimmability and other lighting controls.

Whilst the antimicrobial fabric may be denser, Franklite has successfully designed and manufactured these decorative shades using this fabric, making this range even more customisable. In addition to this the Woburn is fitted with Eco Disk LED plates offering complete design flexibility with increased light output, better uniformity, low maintenance and reduced running costs.
