Golf Club Feature’s Amtico Flooring

Amtico has been involved with a recent refurbishment at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Coventry. For the first time since opening in 1996, the clubhouse’s interior underwent a dramatic redesign, which involved replacing its dated burgundy carpets with a durable and contemporary alternative.

The refurbishment saw the building’s main bar, lounge area, reception, function suite and adjoining corridors fitted with realistic-effect Amtico Wood. For an additional wow-factor, the main bar was used then surrounded by eye-catching Amtico Stones in a Moroccan-style Muralist pattern.

With the help of the team at Abstract Flooring Co, which was commissioned to install the flooring, the venue chose Smoked Timber, a weathered, ash-grey wood-effect design from Amtico’s Spacia collection. The same product, which incorporates a realistic rustic grain to create a truly authentic look, was used throughout the venue’s different rooms, creating a consistent scheme while encouraging movement between the separate areas.

Different products were used to create a feature out of the club’s new bar. The Stonebridge Golf Club initially requested ceramic tiles for the feature, to give the bar area a Moroccan feel, however, Abstract Flooring Co suggested Amtico’s Muralist design as a creative alternative.

Director of Abstract Flooring Co Ltd, Steven Settle stated:

“We are very happy with the final result. The continuity of the wood plank, which sweeps throughout the building, really brings the place together.”
