GX Glass launch CeramX-Digital
CeramX-Digital is Gx Glass’ digitally printed glass solution, offering an incredibly hardwearing, scratch, water and UV-resistant ceramic print for uses as diverse as shower screens to feature panels in kitchens.
Ceramic digitally printed glass has transformed the creative possibilities for designers working with decorative or structural glass panels. Whether designing for a one-off or a full façade, digital printing enables photorealistic detail to be achieved, making this approach ideal for replicating textures such as wood grains, metal meshes, marble and stone, as well as intricate vector-based designs.CeramX-Digital is created by printing specialist ceramic inks onto glass and then firing the inks so that they become fused to the glass surface while the glass is toughened. CeramX-Digital can be combined with other products and processes such as back-painting, magnetic glass and laminating. The printed glass can also be pre-processed for fittings or fixing with internal or external cut outs for sockets, urinals, WCs or similar.
CeramX-Digital uses digital artwork instead of the traditional screens used in screen-printing, meaning that large volume production runs are identical as there is no screen to degrade. It is also cost effective due to minimal hardware requirements, but CeramX-Digital can replicate the halftone and colour processes used in screen-printing.

Hi,
besides being a cool product, I just don’t the digital in CeramX-Digital. It’s pretty analogue compared to e. g. IP44/65 OLED displays where you can alter the image, isn’t it?
