Happy 50th Anniversary to Newmor Wallcoverings!

Founded in 1967 by John Morris, Welsh based manufacturing group Newmor mark their Golden Anniversary in 2017.

This family run business operates two divisions run by John’s grandsons. Newmor Wallcoverings, headed by Toby Morris has built a world-wide reputation in supplying high quality contract wallcoverings to the hospitality sector and Morland, established in 1972 headed by James Morris is the UK’s largest manufacturer of prefinished fit out products.

Operating from multiple sites, both divisions use traditional manufacturing techniques alongside cutting-edge technology to ensure design integrity and quality.Toby Morris explains why retaining their UK manufacturing heritage is so important,

“we have decades of collective experience in design and manufacturing. I cannot underestimate the importance of a skilled and experienced workforce. Having our own manufacturing facility and dedicated design studio in one location allows us to offer our clients much greater flexibility in custom design, product specification and efficient delivery”.

As well as their own sales offices in the UK, Poland, Germany, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong Newmor also work with a well-established international distributor network. Currently operating in over 70 countries worldwide, Newmor has supplied thousands of hotel groups, interior designers and architects all over the world.A whole host of activities are planned to mark this Golden year. In the summer of 2017, Newmor will take the opportunity to thank their loyal workforce by hosting a Garden Party at Powis Castle in Welshpool. Attended by customers and dignitaries including the Earl of Powis, the 24th June is sure to be the key social event in this picturesque Welsh town.

This, their Golden Anniversary year is set to be a landmark year for the business, in terms of new product innovation and investment in their people and plants. The business is dedicated to cover the world with endless inspirational design possibilities.
