Launched within ILIV’s Spring Summer 2019 collections, Mayfield is a sensational floral printed FR contract collection, boasting five spectacular colour ways, all complete with their own, hand-picked coordinating upholstery fabrics to tantalize every taste.

The Mayfield Collection is a classic and playful print suitable for both domestic and commercial interiors.

The BCFA member’s process for the Mayfield Collection began over twelve months ago, where their talented team of dedicated in-house designers crafted mood boards for the collection. Their Inspiration blossomed from the ever-present painterly floral trend in the retail market, drawing on ideas from fashion to furniture and high-street to –high-end.

These ideas were then conceptualized into beautifully intricate hand-painted designs of both breath-taking large and small scale feature florals. From foliage to stripe designs, the Mayfield collection explores bold and bright watercolour art projected into flora and fauna textiles.

“We focused on a bolder colour palette to target the European market with the Navy story, but then worked on looking at our core colour from existing collections to create Ochre, Ruby and Mulberry. We then used insight for designer meetings and further research to create a softer colour palette in the Wedgewood story.” – Emily Arch, Senior Contract Designer.

Their show-stopper print from the Mayfield collection is the distinctive Fleur design, available in five striking colours, this floral print has a delicate watercolour design, hand-painted in their ILIV Studio.

Complementary to this is their Grasmere print, available in six colourways, which has been elegantly simplified to coordinate alongside Fleur. With a single coloured background and an overlaying silhouette motif, this design is a smaller-scaled floral pattern, allowing for an effortless coordinate.

Moorhouse, which draws on elements from both Fleur and Grasmere, was created to allow for smaller scale use when working with their Mayfield collection, allowing more flexibility for the fabric end use. The neutral background aims to promote the multicoloured floral print as an eye catching focal point.

They consider Crofton to be one of their commercially orientated prints, the all-over leaf pattern is available in five colourways and offers multidirectional use, perfect for use on both drapes and upholsteries.

Huntsman originated from our infamous Wordsworth collection; after the success of their initial launch, ILIV decided to add five new striped colour options which can be incorporated into a larger range of looks.

Whilst provoking creativity across the Mayfield collection, they’ve also explored more subtle and timeless semi-plains to allow the fabrics to be dressed down into more subtle environments such as Asby and Helbeck prints which use small-scale motif designs and woven textured illusions.
