Announcing! On Wednesday 4th October at this years Manchester Open, corks will be popped for the drinks reception at 5:30pm and the discussion hosted by SPACE magazine will begin at 6pm.
How have you seen the hospitality market change over the last 5 years? And where do you see it going?
With the rise of companies such as Airbnb and guests looking for more unique spaces that take inspiration from the local environment – What do hotels, manufacturers and suppliers have to do to excel in this marketplace?
Join us for an insightful discussion with No Chintz Creative Director, Lucy Goddard and SPACE magazine Features and Product Editor, Tonje Odegard.
Lucy is one of the Creative Directors for No Chintz design firm. Lucy’s background has always been in design but it was after completing her NESTA sponsored Masters of Enterprise that she joined the Harvey Nichols’ design team. Her next move was to join pioneering property developer Urban Splash where she honed her skills as an interior designer to be reckoned with, delivering dozens of ground breaking show apartments across their portfolio of award winning developments.
These days she’s obsessed with emerging trends, particularly those within the travel and hospitality industry. Focusing these efforts more recently on the hotel design area, one of her recent projects has been shortlisted for the World Architecture News Awards for Retail and Leisure interiors.
No Chintz is a creative studio focused on interior design and branding based in Manchester. With a portfolio of over 1000 projects and more than 250 clients, they’ve now evolved into a “360˚ agency” – offering full-service branding and identity design to compliment the interiors and experiences they create.
Norwegian-born Tonje is the Features Editor for SPACE Magazine and is responsible for reviewing the most exciting hospitality design projects across the globe. She’s especially interested in the material, furniture and suppliers that are used in the project. SPACE magazine is one of the UK’s leading magazines focusing on the Hospitality sector, with a great insight into trends across the world.
