KI’s colourful collection
KI has introduced 4 new soft seating collections for breakout, lounge, reception and meeting spaces. As the proliferation of agile, active workspaces continues, these new seating options will help organisations create a diverse office landscape, rich with alternative work settings. Drawing inspiration from interior design more commonly seen in hotel lobbies, airport lounges, restaurants and living rooms, these seating collections will add a softer, homely aesthetic to office environments.
Elegant and sophisticated, each of these new collections also includes complementary side tables. Design Insider will be delving in to each of the four new seating collections: Farringdon, Fleet, Hadrian and Sloane.
“KI’s very first product in the 1940s was a folding chair. Over the decades we have firmly established a reputation as a global leader in seating with numerous task, lounge and guest chair collections. These latest products join our portfolio to help organisations create modern, versatile and comfortable workspaces – with the reassurance of KI’s brand promise of quality, robust engineering and elegant design.” – David Venables, KI’s Sales Director.
Constructed with a steel framework, entirely moulded in cold-cure polyurethane, these lounge and guest chairs are upholstered in the UK, and come with a 5 year warranty.
Elegant, minimalist chairs and lounge seating. Farringdon’s gentle folded form features a subtle, integrated lumbar support, S-spring and elastic strap in its backrest. Slightly elongated, the chair has a distinctive profile. Available in a standard chair and 1 ½ seater lounge chair.
Simplicity and elegance come together with limitless options. The subtle curves and simple form of the Fleet chair can be specified on numerous bases including solid beech, swivel, task and sled. The seat shell can be upholstered in either a single fabric, or a contrasting inner and outer material. The inner fabric can be further enhanced with optional cross stitching.
Slimline, versatile seating and tables. Limitless configurations are possible with Hadrian, a modular soft seating solution design for modern workplaces. Versatile, slimline seating for receptions, cellular offices and breakout spaces, it can also readily integrate into open plan areas to create low level space delineation. The solid beech base units can be stained in a variety of finishes and are available in 3 sizes, built around a 600x600mm module. These bases can be finished with any combination of 4 soft seating and table top elements.
A modern twist on a classic silhouette, Sloane’s elegant curves and generous proportions make it an instantly inviting and comforting lounge chair. Evocative of Mid-Century Modern designs, its integrated armrests and large seat pad allow for ease of movement and alternating postures. Optional matching footstools are available to complement the chair.
