Knightsbridge Furniture – Award Winning Designs
Award-Winning Designs Head New Healthcare Furniture Portfolio
Award-winning new seating designs head up the latest portfolio of furniture for healthcare environments by Knightsbridge Furniture.
From the entries to its 2013 Design Competition – established to encourage the development of furniture for design-led hospital interiors – Knightsbridge selected two seating concepts created by London-based design consultants Webb Associates. Cubitt and Columba have now been taken to full production at the Knightsbridge manufacturing base in Bradford and are the flagship ranges in the company’s Healthcare Collection.
The Cubitt range provides a modern yet supportive option for ward seating, with high-back, mid-back and club variants featuring the same distinctive ‘wrap-around’ effect. A more traditional elegance is displayed by the Columba family of armchairs, where high-back and mid-back options are joined by a low-back visitor chair. Both Cubitt and Columba provide excellent lumbar support and feature sturdy arms to aid rising: hygiene gaps between seat and back prevent the accumulation of bacteria and debris, and frames are finished with an antimicrobial lacquer for hygiene-critical areas.
In addition to seating, the Knightsbridge Healthcare Collection embraces tables, lockers, recliners and sofa-beds, all designed to withstand rough treatment and rigorous cleaning across the full spectrum of hospital settings. Fresh colour palettes maintain a welcome contemporary spirit and upholstery comes in diversity of options, from practical vinyls and waterproof finishes to soft covers inspired by domestic interiors. Frames are finished in a range of show-wood tones, including Natural or Bleached Beech, Walnut, Oak, Cherry and Wenge.

Hello,
Do you ship individual chairs to the USA (specifically, Lexington, Massachusetts)?
Thanks,
Chris
I am a parent with a child diagnosed with autism and developmental delays. We have gone through 6 living room suites in 5 years. I love your designs, and was wondering if they’re affordable for individual families? Can you could send me more of your living room designs with pricing? Thank you, Serena
