Step inside Upper Court Care Home, where Shackletons Ltd has helped shape warm, welcoming interiors designed to support both comfort and connection.

In the Library, high-back chairs with sculpted lines and enveloping arms offer ergonomic support for reading and reflection. These are paired with elegantly curved side tables—subtle in form, yet practical in function—creating a calm, considered space that encourages moments of pause.

In the Bar and Piano Room, the mood shifts to social sophistication. Here, light timber tones, soft upholstered seating, and clean-lined tables evoke the feel of a boutique hotel—designed to encourage relaxed gatherings and spontaneous music moments.

Across the home, Shackletons collaborated closely with designers and care operators to deliver furniture that not only meets the physical and emotional needs of residents but enhances the overall sense of place through thoughtful detailing and timeless craftsmanship.

Global Hospitality Talk once again proved why it’s such a standout on the hospitality calendar—a true global success bringing together hospitality’s brightest minds in the most welcoming and forward-thinking way.

We were thrilled to see our Editorial Director, Alys Bryan, take the stage to moderate a conversation focused on elevating guest and resident experiences through design. A huge thank you to the brilliant event organisers Can and Lorraine for making it all happen with such style and spirit.

Mark shared how Ennismore is redefining amenity programming—moving beyond the expected with soulful concepts like the Listening Room at HYDE Dubai Hills and the Salon + Honesty Bar at 25H Heimat. It’s not about ticking boxes, but curating meaning.

Matthew explained Six Senses’ holistic approach to wellness in residential spaces—from red light therapy to clean air systems—ensuring every service and design choice supports real, lived wellbeing.

Nesrine spoke about the power of place-based design, revealing how collaborations with local artisans (like at Six Senses Greece) create a richer, more sustainable luxury that also respects ROI.

Steven explored how invisible sustainable systems—like HVAC and passive comfort strategies—can be seamlessly integrated into high-end interiors. When treated with care, these behind-the-scenes innovations elevate both comfort and luxury.
