Alternative Flooring’s latest collection, Anywhere Ca-rPET is crafted using 100% recycled PET yarn, also known as rPET. The fibre used in the Anywhere Ca-rPET collection is made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional yarn. By mimicking the beauty and natural appearance of sisal, rPET yarn produces carpets with exceptional longevity, leading to less frequent replacements and lower resource usage – perfect for eco-conscious businesses and designers

Durable, long-lasting and stain-resistant, Anywhere Ca-rPET is the ideal choice for high-traffic commercial areas or made as a stylish yet functional rug and runner. Available in 4 and 5m widths and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, Anywhere Ca-rPET, although hard-wearing, remains incredibly soft and tactile underfoot, allowing greater design flexibility for designers.

Alternative provides a ‘Make Me A Rug’ made-to-measure service, which allows rugs and runners to be entirely customised for each project. This enables designers to create large-scale rugs and extended-length runners, ideal for commercial spaces with diverse flooring dimensions.

Adding to its ‘Make Me A Rug’ bespoke service, Alternative Flooring has launched over 30 new studio border designs. The latest additions allow designers even more options to fully customise their rugs for both commercial and private projects, turning simple yarn into bespoke visions of beauty, all expertly crafted by seasoned textile artisan, Ray. The new border designs span five captivating collections, each offering something unique with a charming story of its design inspiration. Staying true to Alternative’s core values, they continue to source eco-friendly yarn that is then hand-dyed in Scotland and crafted in the studio in Hereford. These yarns are then transformed into three-fold threads, giving the rugs the necessary weight and structure to be both durable and elegant. The commitment to sustainability is seamlessly woven into the creative process, ensuring that every rug not only looks good but is sustainable too.
