Morgan – BA Executive Lounge Glasgow

Created as a comfortable haven to work quietly and grab some refreshment before flying, the British Airways Executive Lounges are a real boon for regular business travellers. Commissioned by Glasgow based design studio Graven Images, Morgan has designed and supplied soft seating and tables for the UK domestic lounges; the Glasgow lounge coming first and, following its successful completion, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Belfast.

In keeping with the lounge design, which is contemporary and functional grounded by elegant and comfortable furnishings, many of which are made in Britain, Morgan supplied their Hampton sofas and armchairs, Boston tables and bespoke runs of Hampton modular seating.  The back upholstery detail of the Hamptons was adapted by Morgan in order to meet the client’s brief by attaching the cushion to the frame and removing the button detail.  The grey oak timber finish is also a contemporary detail which is echoed in the timber frame legs of the work tables.
