Newmor and The Alexander Yerevan

As the first luxury hotel in Armenia, Marriott’s latest addition to its Luxury Collection – The Alexander Yerevan is truly special. Offering 114 beautiful minimalist designed guest rooms and located in the historic centre of Yerevan. Newmor, a BCFA member, provided the wallcoverings.

The Alexander is located in the heart of Yerevan’s historic quarters, the hotel’s facade with a history dating back to the 18th century presents a unique glimpse into the country’s past.

Throughout the building there are nods to Armenia’s history, including the Alphabet Wall and a selection of authentic jars from the History Museum.

Led by Alexander James International, the decor draws upon intricate Armenian motifs, alongside contemporary flourishes that bring to life the history and modernity of the destination within the property’s opulent public spaces.

Newmor’s wallcoverings were used throughout the hotel including in the restaurants, bars, deli,  library, spa, conference areas and 114 bedrooms and suites. From large scale faded geometric design, Triangles to subtle shimmering Messina, elegant Lyon Stripe silk effect and contemporary deeply embossed wave design, Tunnel. Our design team also created a selection of textures in bespoke colourways for the business suites.
