Edwardian Hotel Ltd, Manchester, UK
EE Smith Contract completed a restaurant re-style, reception/public areas & Spa reception of this 5 star hotel.
In June 2019, Peter Street Kitchen had the honour of accepting the ‘Best Luxury Restaurant UK’ at the British Restaurant Awards 2019, alongside some of the UK’s best restaurants. A momentous achievement for both Peter Street Kitchen and Radisson Blu Edwardian, Manchester. The award-winning Radisson Blu Edwardian, Manchester hotel is set inside the historic Grade II listed Free Trade Hall, one of the city’s oldest and most iconic buildings, and is also known for its musical past. With a Japanese and Mexican small plates restaurant, Peter Street Kitchen, the hotel is also perfect for enjoying afternoon tea or a cocktail. The Spa & Gym is tucked away in the building’s vaults, with a 12-metre swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

All internal finishes, metalwork, stone, tiling & joinery decorations were completed by EE Smith Contracts. The team worked in numerous areas across the hotel, including the bars, restaurants, ballroom & reception areas. EE Smiths were faced with an unusual challenge when faced with the ballroom panelling & all-day dining areas, with units designed with sliding screens made of steel mesh & no rolling mechanism. Boasting an indoor pool, a restaurant, a fitness centre and a cocktail bar, the Hilton London Bankside is conveniently situated on London’s popular South Bank. It also has 292 rooms including executive rooms, suites, a luxury penthouse & Interconnecting family rooms, ensuring there is something for everyone! The Hilton Bankside is home to the renowned OXBO Bankside restaurant which showcases the area’s historic influences. With its vibrant atmosphere, this is the perfect place for a hearty breakfast, nutritious light bite, or unforgettable lunch or dinner.
The open kitchen concept allows chefs to cook in front of guests, enhancing the experience and adding to the theatre of the restaurant. The Distillery is Bankside’s destination Bar, where hotel guests, local business people and residents choose to enjoy great bites and excellent drinks in a vibrant, engaging and sophisticated setting, no matter what time of day.
