Product Preview: Clerkenwell Design Week

BCFA Members launch brand new products at Clerkenwell Design Week for Commercial Interior Designers to discover some of the UK’s finest brands and designs.

After a short hiatus, Clerkenwell Design Week is back and bigger than ever. Designers and Architects from across the UK will travel to Clerkenwell this week to discover the most innovative designs and latest products. We cannot wait to explore and experience all the exciting new products, and are thrilled to share a sneak peak of brand new launches and showroom events from BCFA Members that you can discover at CDW.

Camira – 8 & 10 Brewhouse Yard, London, EC1V 4DG

Having recently launched their SEAQUAL, Oceanic and Quest fabrics, Camira are excited to share these recycled fabrics with you in their newly refurbished showroom! Sedus – 9 Brewhouse Yard, Clerkenwell, London, ECV1 4JR

Sedus has developed an interesting events programme for visitors, including live music and German BBQ and a lecture on ‘Workplace 2030’ from founder of WKspace, Hannah Nardini. You can also discover two new products at Sedus’ showroom: the company’s first lounge chair, se:lounge, and the flexible room-in-room system, se:cube max.

se:lounge is Sedus’ answer to the desire for more cosiness in the office – simply arriving, sitting down and feeling good. The shape of the backrest and the sound-absorbing qualities of the material create free space for thoughts and allow the user’s body and mind to rest; no matter how hectic everyday office life may be.

With se:cube max, Sedus creates new dimensions for the modern office. Workshops, meetings, seminars – the office is increasingly becoming a place for teamwork. The room-in-room system se:cube max impresses with strong acoustics as well as a pleasant atmosphere, blending harmoniously into its surroundings like a piece of furniture.

Bolon – 2 Northburgh St, London EC1V 0AY

Based on the five unique designs from the Truly flooring collection, launched earlier this year, Bolon launch its Truly rug collection at Clerkenwell Design Week. Truly is all about enlarged patterns, colour effects and hyper texture and is shaped around the creative vision of Bolon’s design team. Join the team on 24th May in celebration of their launch in their showroom, and meet the visionary Bolon owners and sisters, Annica and Marie.

Morgan – 1 Dallington Street, Clerkenwell, London EC1V 0BH

Launching at CDW, is the latest addition to Morgan’s Oslo collection, a Scandinavian inspired, slender dining chair featuring a cane panel detail to the inside back, emphasising the lightness of the frame. Porto barstools will also be unveiled, combining Porto’s crisp upholstery with a generous seat and a slim line metal underframe. These stools are available with a leather handle detail to the outside back.

After a successful digital launch, the Kaya Dining collection will also be available for visitors to view in person for the first time. Including the increasingly popular woven cane detail this collection is tactile, warm, and relinks contemporary design to traditional artisanal techniques. The collection has an emphasis on space and light, evoking an atmosphere of ‘komorebi’, the Japanese word for the sunshine filtering through leaves.

You can also join the team in the showroom for an interactive talk, led by breath coach Rebecca Dennis of Breathing Tree, for an insight Breathwork and its benefits. This will be followed by immersive exhibition, ‘Offcuts’ by Olly Fathers, and an evening of live jazz and drinks: click here to RSVP.
