Q&A The Patternistas – Workshop

Manchester Open returns on the 4th & 5th October at the Museum of Science and Industry with a full program of workshops!  Come along to the Patternistas pattern workshop and be inspired by decorative cultures from around the globe: Some traditions may reach back centuries but their power still influences design today!

We caught up with the colourful duo Chris & Suzanne Carpenter of The Patternistas to ask few questions:

1. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
A husband and wife design team working with forward thinking companies to help create quality patterned products that are practical, useful and offer a refreshing design choice to the market.

3. What is your Manchester design highlight?
So many to choose from but you can’t really beat the wonderful Whitworth Gallery with it’s stunning steel and glass extension overlooking Whitworth Park. Nature, art and architecture – a perfect combination.

4. What will people enjoy on your workshop?
An opportunity to relax and get inspired to try some creative experimentation. It’s been proven to put smiles on faces and some amazing patterns on paper.
