Regal London Design-led Working and Living: Bespoke Furniture for City Developments

While Furniture Fusion is well-known for its work in the hospitality sector, a series of recent projects working with a leading property developer has seen the firm creating bespoke furniture for some standout commercial and residential spaces in the city.

The Haydon is a striking collection of 87 luxury apartments perfectly positioned in the centre of London. Despite its location in Aldgate in the heart of the City’s Square Mile, this stylish development offers residents a tranquil haven, including landscaped gardens and a smart outside terrace. Furniture Fusion worked with the Regal London team to create some beautiful bespoke outdoor sofas and tables for the terrace – upholstered in weatherproof fabric in classic white, the sofas are finished with slate grey cushions to tone with the bespoke outdoor tables.

With views over the bustling city below, it’s sure to be a popular spot for residents over the summer months and beyond. While these pieces were created specifically for the project, Furniture Fusion’s outdoor collection includes numerous chairs, sofas, bar stools and tables which can be used all year round, increasing capacity for bars, restaurants and cafés across the seasons.

Closer to the furniture fi rm’s head office in Watford, The Clarendon Works is a dynamic, innovative new workspace in the heart of the Hertfordshire town. The new Regal Workspace development has generated quite a buzz, featuring 12 floors of office space complete with state-of-the-art facilities – the Furniture Fusion team delivered something special to suit the space. With a distinctive curved silhouette and a brass-finish plinth, a bespoke lobby chair makes a real statement, giving visitors a comfortable seat on arrival and setting the tone for the design-led development. A second bespoke lounge chair is upholstered in soft brown nubuck-style faux leather which contrasts with the paler shades used elsewhere – a group of these chairs gives a comfortable spot for an informal meeting in the light-filled lobby.

The same development features a rooftop terrace with views extending across the Hertfordshire countryside. Underlining its reputation as a workplace with a difference, the terrace is a perfect place to relax after work, to take calls or to chat with colleagues on a sunny day.

The outside space includes several pieces created by Furniture Fusion for the project – from bespoke sofas and armchairs, all fully upholstered and suitable for use outside, to a bespoke 3m long high table. The fi rm supplied the popular Nolita stool in bright sky blue, which looks great alongside the striking table with Terrace side chairs in gunmetal grey adding plenty of additional seating for this stunning roof terrace.

Watford was also the location for Furniture Fusion’s third project with Regal London – this time at The Clarendon. Soaring 25 stories high, The Clarendon is an unmistakable part of the town’s skyline.

The development comprises 168 private residences along with a concierge, cinema and gym and an incredible sky garden with views across the town and surrounding landscape. The entrance lobby is an elegant, stylish space, with Furniture Fusion’s bespoke sofas and tables sitting perfectly alongside Groot lounge chairs. The Clarendon also includes a spacious outside terrace, with Furniture Fusion’s bespoke outdoor sofas, armchairs and tables giving residents a comfortable spot to relax and take in the views from the outside terrace.

Each of these projects shows the importance of outdoor spaces – for work, for socialising and at home.
