Review: The BCFA Breakfast at Design Junction 2016

With an early morning start, our BCFA members had a great opportunity to have a private view of this event before the official opening time while things were still quiet. This exhibition is clearly targeted at the mass market, and being open to the public as well as trade professionals means that these exclusive few hours are very sought after. This year’s new location in the King’s Cross Creative Quarter was much more accessible and inviting than in previous years and a preliminary coffee and pastry is always encouraging. We took our members through to the Cubitt House, a pop-up pavilion designed by Satellite Architects.

CUBITT HOUSE (800x346)

This space featured over 100 furniture and lighting brands including our own Artemide and Morgan Furniture. Even though this show isn’t particularly associated with the contract or commercial sectors, we thoroughly enjoyed the innovative ways that companies were choosing to display their products. Morgan Furniture had a superb stand that really highlighted their award-winning seating and tables with their 3D printed components. For some inspiration for your next stand design, have a look at the images below.
