RHA Furniture at Champneys, Mottram Hall
Situated in the idyllic village of Mottram St Andrew, the elegant countryside estate of Mottram Hall is a fantastic place to stay. The beautiful hotel in Cheshire is fantastically located, just 6 miles from Macclesfield train station and 7 miles from Manchester airport, making this an accessible option for many. This was a large project completed over many phases in various parts of the hotel. RHA Furniture had a hand in almost every part of the interior, spa, cafe, public areas and restaurant. We had a chat with Liese Brandt, Managing Director at RHA, about this stunning project.

Can you introduce our readers to RHA?
RHA is a family owned and run business, started up by my father over 25+ years ago and developing into a successful well known business supplying Hotels, restaurants, Spas, health clubs, care homes and student accommodation with standard pieces of furniture as well as bespoke upholstery and joinery. We pride ourselves on the service we offer as well as our many loyal clients
Can you tell us about the designer you worked with on this project?
Sparcstudio is a privately-owned, creative, design studio that has established an enviable reputation for producing highly successful, creative and award winning Spas, Wellness/Fitness, Hotel and Resort facilities. They apply a ‘bespoke’ design approach to every project and always aim to create a unique product with a real ‘sense of place’, individuality and luxury.
What was the concept for the interior schemes at Champneys?
Contemporary, relaxing and traditional but with a modern twist using a mixture of materials and fabrics.
Which key areas did you supply?
All public areas, restaurant, spa changing rooms, relaxation areas and spa café.
Which products were specified for this project?
A mixture of standard products from our extensive ranges along with bespoke booth seats, daybeds, sofas and some specialist joinery pieces.
Were any of the furniture designs bespoke?
Yes many of them were and we manufactured them to the design of Beverley from Sparc.
Do you have plans to work with this designer or Champneys again in the future?
We have worked with Sparcstudio for many years now on various projects of theirs and also Champneys so yes we look forward to a continued relationship with both of them in the future.
