ROCA CREATES SIGNATURE LOOK FOR CARE HOMES

Roca, the global bathroom manufacturer and BCFA member, has created beautiful bathroom spaces for a number of Signature properties including the new Signature Senior Living Care Homes in Reigate and Bushey.

Signature has a simple mission “to provide exceptional care, delivered by compassionate people, in the highest quality homes” and this passion is clear in every home they develop. From the welcoming reception right through to the extensive facilities, everything is created with the residents in mind. The new Reigate Grange and Elton House sites are the epitome of luxury and feature a number of Roca products to keep the feeling of opulence running throughout the bathroom and spa areas.

The care homes provide residential and nursing care, along with a specialist dementia area and much thought is taken into the comfort of residents, the luxurious design created and providing familiar local information. Both developments feature a variety of studio and one-bedroom apartments along with a café, dining facilities, spacious and well-equipped activity areas, spa and therapy rooms, cinemas and landscaped gardens.

Roca has been collaborating with designers Leisure Concepts for over 10 years and is working on over seven Signature Care Homes developments.

“Our aim with all the Signature Care Homes we work on is to provide an environment that has a homely feel and not a clinical one. The reason we selected Roca for these projects is because they do not just offer the industry standard and the products do not feel institutional. The solutions we have specified are mainstream and could be found in a boutique hotel not a hospital.” – Sue Dee, Designer at Leisure Concepts.

Leisure Concepts has installed a range of Roca bathroom solutions in over 100 apartments per site, the public toilets as well as the spa rooms.

“The Roca products answer all our needs and mean we do not have to specify dedicated care products. They have comfort at their core and all the products are very design-led. It seems the company is always ahead with innovation as well and suggesting new things we can try. The products that stand out within the developments include the Laura wall hung WC with soft close seat. Roca has specially designed a charcoal contrasting seat cover for the WCs so they can be easily seen by residents. The Nexo asymmetrical basin with integral shelf left or right handed has also been installed in a variety of locations.

Although Nexo is not a dedicated care product, it answers all the needs that Signature Care Homes has; it is extremely hygienic, very stylish and has a large space for accessories. Importantly, you can easily get a wheelchair underneath it. The Meridian compact wash basin and Senso semi recessed basins also feature within the developments and in the hair salons and treatments rooms, Foro in-countertop basins and Thesis mixer taps have been installed.
