The winners of the Trevira CS fabric competition 2025 have been announced!
Fabric Creativity Competition 2025 under the motto “Trevira CS: TEXTILE FIRE SAFETY AT ITS BEST”
In this competition, Trevira CS partners worldwide were invited to submit their latest and most creative fabric and yarn creations, demonstrating the diversity of Trevira CS textiles in terms of comfort and safety, quality and innovative design.
Focusing on the fact that Trevira CS textiles are permanently flame retardant, the competition encouraged entrants to explore the intersection of textile design, functionality and safety. Participants were able to submit entries in five different categories:
- Creating safely with COLOR AND STYLE: Sophisticated and unusual approaches to interior design.
- Tested fire safety for great COMFORT AND TOUCH: Focus on well-being through tactile experiences and additional functional properties such as sound absorption and thermal effects.
- Preventing fire in LIGHT AND DARKNESS: Use of different transparencies to create fascinating plays of light.
- Acting safe on HEAVY DUTY: Highlighting durable fabrics that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, with a particular focus on UV stability.
- Reliable safety for TIMELESS ALLROUNDERS: Presenting durable performance in terms of flame retardancy and aesthetics.
A high-caliber, independent jury of industry experts – Prof. Bettina Göttke-Krogmann, Corinna Kretschmar-Joehnk and Marty Lamers – thoroughly evaluated over 250 fabric and 24 yarn entries. From this diverse pool of entries, they selected 26 exceptional winners as well as 3 special articles that were more than worthy of a Special Mention for their look, feel and composition.
The winners of this year’s competition will be showcased on the Trevira CS joint stand hosted by Indorama Ventures during the Heimtextil trade fair, Frankfurt, Germany, in Hall 4.0 C15, where their yarns and fabrics will inspire visitors and the industry. In addition, Trevira CS will encourage all visitors to further explore the exciting possibilities of textile innovation and diversity in yarns and fabrics.
“We are delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Trevira CS Fabric Competition,” said Svenja Fromm. “The entries reflect remarkable creativity and underpin Trevira CS’ position as a leading brand for flame retardant textiles. Each entry demonstrates the innovation and craftsmanship that characterizes our partners. In recognition of this, the winners will be awarded for the first time at an event at the Heimtextil trade fair.”
