Trend Board April 2015: Harlequin

Exotic Escapism

Channelling the current trend for bringing the outdoors in, Harlequins’ Jardin Bohème, Kallianthi and Amazilia collections provide a compendium of captivating motifs in kaleidoscopic colours providing stylists and architects with the tools to create a tropical sanctuary.

Adding light to the darkest of corners with accent cushions, or making a statement with the ombré stripe wallpaper, the widely recognisable botanical etchings of Clarissa Hulse make the Kallianthi collection a fantastic go to for creating an exotic escape.

For a more eclectic look, Harlequin’s Jardin Bohème collection harnesses a riot of pattern, colour and printing techniques. This uplifting, bohemian range can subtly help the designer achieve an interior that will appear relaxed, uncontrived and casual.

The most recent addition to the Harlequin portfolio; Amazilia, merges luscious hues with daring brights. The collection includes exotic birds, large scale tropical flowers, stylised foliage and botanical references; all creating a feeling of both sanctuary and escapism.
