Wilton Carpets’ Vienna Collection Transforms Bolton Golf Club with Elevated Clubhouse Elegance

Woven in the company’s newest stock palette, Serenity, the collection exudes continental sophistication and timeless styling, which is enhanced by the current colours of Serenity, bringing a cool ambiance to the spaces it graces.

Bolton Golf Club, boasting an 18-hole championship golf course, takes immense pride in its varied landscape. The course features meticulously maintained fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and mature woods, complemented by stunning hills, ravines, streams, and panoramic views. The clubhouse, therefore, faced the challenge of matching the quality and elegance of this outdoor setting.
In a bid to maintain a vibrant social space for members and capitalize on commercial opportunities, the club’s management team decided to refurbish the bar, lounge, and function room. They enlisted the expertise of CMJ Bar Fitting to bring their refurbishment goals to fruition. CMJ, in turn, approached their long-term suppliers, Wilton Carpets, for a carpet that would align with their vision. Wilton’s recently launched Vienna Collection, characterized by bold geometric patterns and woven in contemporary pastels from the Serenity palette, perfectly matched the club’s design concept as presented by CMJ.
The carpet’s design changes perspective based on the viewer’s position. Up close, the gothic shaping of the motifs is evident, while from a distance, striking zigzags traverse the space. Viewed head-on, subtle layered white stripes add another dimension. The mineral colour palette is both contemporary and calming, aligning with the trends of commercial interiors, while the natural tones provide an earthy, comforting atmosphere.
The design team was thrilled with the overall aesthetic, and the transformation has impressed both the staff and members of the golf club. This refurbishment underscores the critical role of a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for club members, as well as the potential for revenue generation from a high-end function space, highlighting the significance of this investment for both the community and the commercial success of the club.
